Apple slashes price of top-spec MacBook Air
Been eyeing up one of them super-slim, super-light silvery MacBook Airs, but put off because you want the state-of-the-art top-spec version complete with solid-state drive and it costs and arm and a leg (£2k+)? Well, today is your lucky day: Apple has just slashed £310 off the price of the super-duper version of the world’s thinnest notebook, and one can now be yours for £1,719.
What do you get for all that hard-earned cash? Well, in addition to the aforementioned 64GB solid-state hard drive (quicker load times, no scary moving parts to go all messy if you bash it too hard), the top-tier MacBook Air also comes with a faster 1.8GHz Intel Core Duo 2 processor, so overall you should enjoy a slightly quicker computing experience. Of course, if that doesn’t tempt you, you can still pick up the entry-level Air for £1,199, which packs an 80GB regular hard drive, a 1.6GHz Core Duo 2 processor and the same 2GB RAM as the top-spec version.
The choice is yours, and you can make it by checking out Apple’s MacBook Air site.
